We want to tell you about DRIVE 25 – GIVE 25.
This is the season where we remind all who treasure Presque Isle State Park to DRIVE 25. Twenty-five miles
an hour on the park to protect our treasured habitat, both flora and fauna and to share the road safely with fellow
travelers not in cars.
We at the Foundation would be grateful if you would GIVE $25.00 to the TREC Foundation. Here are several
of the reasons why:
• Our role is to enhance and expand educational opportunities. We assist in funding the TREC Experience
providing K-12 students the opportunity to have a class with Presque Isle State Park educators.
• The Foundation has reopened the Big Screen Theater showing environmental, nature, and other
movies on our Big Screen operated by the Foundation.
• We purchased museum quality exhibit walls so that our partners and others can display
educational exhibits.
• Our exhibits were produced in 2005-06 and we are working on concepts of exhibits for the future
– for how people learn today and into the future.
Presque Isle State Park and Lake Erie, our regions natural capital is critical for our region to thrive. Education and
experiences at TREC help to raise awareness and commitment to protecting our assets.
You may ask why $25.00? We of course must raise considerable funds throughout the next few years; we are
aware of the value of many small donations that contribute to greater amounts. Many together – being a part of a lasting legacy.
